Choose your sales model and market coverage first
A website for the Polish market starts with a decision: do you need business enquiries, direct consumer sales or both? A B2B enquiry may require product specifications, quantities and a clear follow-up process. An online shop needs a complete journey, from product information to delivery and aftercare. Add an ordering system because it serves that purpose, rather than simply because it is technically possible.
Create an overview showing the offer, countries served, desired action and responsible employee for each audience. A Polish supplier selling elsewhere in the EU needs different information from a service business handling Polish enquiries only. This distinction determines the functionality you actually need.
Plan languages, domain structure and content together
Should you use a separate .pl domain or a Polish version within your existing international site? Consider management, existing links and future markets together. Google describes country domains and subdirectories as possible structures and recommends separate language URLs with appropriate language references. There is no single best choice for every business.
Keep one content register with page, language, owner, review date and publication status. Have a suitable language reviewer check product names, Polish characters, prices and emails. An English page should not silently promise English-speaking customer support. Agree language assistance and translation work separately; Polish-language service from FLOR-IT is not a standard commitment.
Check payments before development
Establish the seller's identity, intended currency and available payment account. PayU Poland through Wix supports PLN and requires account approval and matching currencies. Przelewy24 through Skrill is documented for Poland and PLN, with account verification.
For BLIK, verify actual support from both the provider and the Wix integration. The different PayU integration approaches are not automatically all available in Wix. Record fees, refunds and any subscription requirements too. A provider's name alone does not establish that it supports your entire sales process.
Match delivery and customer information to each market
Specify delivery areas, how charges are calculated, who answers questions and how returns are handled. Check a Polish order and an order to each additional delivery country. For consumer sales, use the EU guidance on distance-selling information as a starting point, not a complete legal checklist.
Ask an appropriate adviser to assess the business details, terms, tax settings, privacy wording and consent requirements relevant to your activity. Applicable registration details differ; CEIDG and KRS are different registers. A footer containing identification numbers or a cookie banner does not by itself establish legal compliance. Approved wording should reflect what your staff and systems actually do.
Test one small but complete customer journey
Illustrative project approach, not a client case: prepare one product or service in the chosen languages first. Follow its enquiry or purchase journey through to completion before entering the entire catalogue. Use clearly labelled test data, not real customer files.
- Check mobile usability, language switching and receipt of enquiries.
- Check address fields, delivery options, currency and total charges.
- Review confirmations, stock updates and the agreed cancellation process.
- Have an employee make and check a content change.
Use an appropriate test or preview method. A live payment can incur real charges and transaction fees; Wix explains the limitations of checkout testing. Agree beforehand who is authorised to make test payments or refunds.
Turn the plan into a manageable brief
Define pages, languages, integrations, revisions, acceptance and account control. Include translation, subscriptions and ongoing maintenance in your website budget. Choose a few measures, such as qualified enquiries or completed orders by market. Search visibility starts with useful content and a technical foundation; results are not guaranteed, including in Google's AI search features.
Explore our services and send your website, target markets and main business process. We can then discuss feasibility. If you regularly need someone on site, include that requirement when choosing between a local and a remote partner.
