Start with the task your customer needs to complete
Should your website generate appointments, quote requests or product sales? Choose one main goal and map the steps needed to reach it. A service business might need a clear service description, a relevant project example and a short enquiry form. A shop also needs product information, delivery terms and a working checkout.
Browse our services and project examples to see what suits your needs. Focus on projects with similar requirements and discuss which elements could be useful for your own website.
Swedish, English or both?
Decide which languages your customers use when researching services and contacting you. An English website may suit international business customers. A Swedish version can be useful for Swedish-speaking visitors, provided forms, confirmations and important service information are available in that language too.
Agree who will write or review Swedish copy and answer Swedish-language enquiries. This page does not promise Swedish-speaking customer support. Also agree on the language used during the project. For multilingual websites, test whether the language switch takes visitors to the corresponding page without unnecessarily losing information they have already entered.
Plan payments before building your shop
Do you want to display prices in SEK? Which currency will customers pay in, and which payment methods do they need? First check Wix’s payment providers by country. Availability depends on factors including your business location and provider. We do not assume that Swish or another requested method is available for your setup.
Have a tax adviser review the applicable VAT and invoicing requirements. Then test a successful payment, a declined payment and a refund. Check the amount, currency, order status and confirmation email. Displaying a payment logo on your homepage is not evidence that the complete payment journey works.
Plan these checks using agreed test orders. Use a provider-supported test mode or sandbox where available. If neither is available, agree a controlled test procedure with the owner before starting. Avoid unintended real charges and refunds.
A practical checklist before launch
| Area | What to check |
|---|---|
| Mobile contact | Fields have labels, buttons are usable and error messages explain what to do next. |
| Bookings | Availability, Stockholm local time and confirmations agree. |
| Migration | Important old URLs have suitable destinations; links, images and forms have been checked. |
| Ownership | Someone is responsible for content updates, enquiries and account access. |
Before a migration, keep an inventory of existing pages and record current performance. Compare this with the new website and check redirects and indexability. Search positions can change, so retaining them cannot be guaranteed.
Cookies, search visibility and measurement
Swedish regulator PTS explains that non-essential cookies require prior, active consent; necessary cookies are exempt. Test refusal and withdrawal as well. Have privacy documents reviewed for your circumstances.
Google’s guidance says established SEO practices remain relevant to its AI search features. Useful content and a clear technical structure are the foundation. Inclusion or a particular position in search results and AI answers cannot be guaranteed.
Choose measurable goals such as qualified enquiries or completed bookings. Record a baseline, then review which steps visitors complete after launch and where they stop. Match your measurement setup to your privacy choices. This is more useful for deciding what to improve than a promise of a fixed traffic increase.
Working together remotely
We discuss content, features, responsibilities and scheduling before work begins. If you need in-person meetings in Stockholm, a local agency may be a better fit. See our pricing or send us your website and main improvement goal. You can also book an online introduction.
